Christmas on Main Street is held
in Utica's historical Union Station at historic Bagg’s
Square on Main Street the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
It is an all day event that captures the traditions and atmosphere of an old fashioned Christmas on Main Street as well as incorporating our more modern and ethnic holiday traditions. The event features live entertainment, face painting, visits with Santa Claus, food, hot chocolate and is capped off at dusk with a spectacular fireworks display. The entire event is free to the public and it is attended annually by thousands who come from near and far. Planning and organization for Christmas on Main Street is done by an all-volunteer committee made up of local businessmen and women.
As always, the
event is made successful with the help of our sponsors and
volunteers. We are looking for sponsors of the event as
well as volunteers - individuals or groups that can participate
and we are asking for your help. In addition, we always
welcome and encourage area businesses to have a volunteer
representative on our committee.
